Rocker arms wear in conjunction with the camshafts, meaning the two must be replaced simultaneously. We tested our performance cam followers with aftermarket camshafts to validate compatibility, ensuring smooth, reliable, and safe operation under demanding conditions.

The roller rocker arms transfer the rotational force of the camshaft to open the intake and exhaust valves. One end is raised and lowered by the rotating lobe of the camshaft, while the other end acts on the associated valve stem. If a roller rocker arm has failed you may experience a constant ticking noise during engine operation, or alternatively if the rocker arm has broken, you will receive multiple misfires and a rough running engine.

Set of 12 ProSeries ARP2000 connecting rod bolts for the Euro-spec M3 engine. Made by ARP, the world leader in fastener technology. The best rod bolts available for the Euro S50 and S54. Ideal for ultra high performance, racing & forced induction applications. Each bolt is made of ARP2000 material, which exceeds the strength of 8740 Chrome Moly, and is able to achieve clamp load at 220,000psi. ARP2000 fasteners are used widely in professional motorsport and drag racing as an upgrade from 8740 Chrome Moly in both steel and aluminum rods.

This set replaces the factory BMW Euro S50B30 and B32 rod bolts with part number 11-24-1-317-184 (11241317184) and 11-24-1-405-890 (11241405890). It's also used for S54 engines with stock M10 sized rod bolts, which were used from February 2003 production and later. It was also used in earlier engines that had connecting rods replaced. For these 2001-2003 models there is no easy way to check if the rods were replaced, except by checking the rod bolt diameter. If your car has the earlier M11 sized bolt, use ARP kit #201-6103 . Before opening the ARP kit, we recommend that you check your existing rod bolt size as BMW was not consistent with their applications. ARP bolts are not returnable if the package has been open.

Virtually every top professional BMW engine builder relies on ARP Pro Series head studs. ARP uses a premium grade 8740 alloy that is rated far superior to "aircraft" quality. Each stud is heat-treated to 200,000 psi, ensuring complete heat penetration. ARP studs are threaded after heat-treat, which gives them 1000% (that's ten times!) better fatigue strength than studs threaded prior to heat-treat. Threading the studs after heat-treating is more difficult and costly (as it's harder on tooling) but the results are well worth the effort. These simply are the best head studs we've found for the E36 6 cylinder engines, and we highly recommend them in both the racing and forced induction arena. (Due to the additional clamping force between the head and block, these are IDEAL for turbo charging and supercharging!)

Converting from the factory BMW head bolts to head studs makes it much easier to assemble an engine, especially a racing powerplant which must be serviced frequently (and quickly!), and also ensures proper alignment of the head and gasket. Head studs also provide more accurate and consistent torque loading. Here's why: When you use bolts to secure the head, the fastener is actually being "twisted" while it's being torqued to the proper reading. Accordingly, the bolt is reacting to two different forces simultaneously. A head stud should be installed in a "relaxed" mode -- never crank it in tightly using a jammed nut. If everything is right, the stud should be installed finger tight. Then, when applying torque to the nut, the stud will stretch only on the vertical axis. An information sheet is provided with each set. Kit includes everything pictured -- 14 head bolts, washers, bolts and assembly lubricant.

These bearings replace the factory BMW rod bearings. These bolts are M11 size to replace the stock M11 BMW bolt part number 11-24-7-834-310 (11247834310). The M11 bolt size was used in S54 engines up to 2/2003 production. However, most S54 engines up to that point had their rod bearings replaced under a factory recall and some may have had new connecting rods installed at the same time (or even a new engine altogether). The new bolts installed in these earlier engines are M10 size. Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing which rod or bolt is currently in your car (unless your car came with service records detailing when and what was replaced). The only sure way to know is to check the bolts currently installed in your engine. If yours was updated to the M10 sized bolt, use ARP kit #201-6102 . ARP bolts are not returnable if the pacakge has been open.

Replacing the rod bearings requires mechanical knowledge and skill, a clean workspace, and several specialist tools. Our preferred procedure is to leave the engine in the car but remove the front subframe. The engine must be supported from above with an engine brace. Removing the front subframe involves disconnecting the control arms and steering rack and steering column. The oil pan can then be removed and you can access the connecting rods and bearings. Replacing the rod bearings themselves is straightforward but patience and forethought will be extremely helpful. In addition to analyzing the severity of the rod bearing wear, the crankshaft must also be inspected closely for damage. Rod bearings that have been severely worn may have damaged the crankshaft (requiring replacement or machining).

The S65 engine has a known history of rod bearing failure, and if your engine is higher mileage, don't let this catastrophic failure happen to you. Replace your rod bearings and prevent a spun bearing which can trash your crankshaft. BE Bearings, in conjunction with Clevite, an OE bearing manufacturer, have redesigned and manufactured the bearings for greater clearance and have changed the original material composition from tin-aluminum to lead-copper. This upgrade incorporated the state-of-the-art Clevite Tri-Metal design and featured a Tri-Armor™ coating. This allows for the additional lubrication for wear prevention, plus, the softer bearings are better for your engine and are more tolerant of foreign particles suspended in your oil. This ARP main stud set for the 24 valves M50-based 6 cylinder engines (including M50, M52, S50US and S52US) and eliminates main cap walk and fretting, as well as protects the threads in your engine block. Each stud is made using the best materials, process, design and engineering, which exceeds even the most stringent racing and aerospace specifications. This main stud kit includes hardened parallel-ground washers and aerospace quality nuts. Replaces BMW part numbers 11-11-1-713-525 (11111713525) and 11-11-2-244-286 (11112244286).

The studs are manufactured from 8740 chrome moly steel, heat-treated in-house to 190,000 psi tensile strength, and precision J-form threads rolled after heat-treat to create a fastener that has threads 1000% stronger than others. On the E30 M3, there's no reason to settle for anything less than the best, which is why we carry and use ARP fasteners and studs on our own BMW race cars.

Under certain conditions, the N55 crank hub likes to spin, without warning and even when the engine is in perfect health. The engineers at Vargas saw and dealt with this problem time and again, and they saw fit to do something about it. This hub uses a proprietary "Spline Lock" technology that uses high tolerance machined splines which press into the crank, and positively lock the hub to the crank. The splines are machined in such a way that rotational forces drive the hub, and splines deeper into the crank meaning when the hub encounters a situation that would normally slip a stock hub the splined hub is driven into the crank to keep it in place (much like a splined extractor). Features: Installs the same as a stock hub Does NOT require the crank to be drilled for pins Manufactured from Harndered 17-4SS We suggest the Crank Hub System ONLY be installed by a qualified shop or technician. Virtually every top professional BMW engine builder relies on ARP Pro Series head studs, particularly on the S54 3.2 liter engine. ARP uses a premium grade 8740 alloy that is rated far superior to "aircraft" quality. Each stud is heat-treated to 200,000 psi, ensuring complete heat penetration. ARP studs are threaded after heat-treat, which gives them 1000% (that's ten times!) better fatigue strength than studs threaded prior to heat-treat. Threading the studs after heat-treating is more difficult and costly (as it's harder on tooling) but the results are well worth the effort. These simply are the best S54 head studs we've found for the E46 M3 6 cylinder engines, and we highly recommend them in both the racing and forced induction arena. (Due to the additional clamping force between the head and block, these are IDEAL for turbo charging and supercharging!)

Converting from the factory BMW head bolts to head studs makes it much easier to assemble an engine, especially a racing powerplant which must be serviced frequently (and quickly!), and also ensures proper alignment of the head and gasket. Head studs also provide more accurate and consistent torque loading. Here's why: When you use bolts to secure the head, the fastener is actually being "twisted" while it's being torqued to the proper reading. Accordingly, the bolt is reacting to two different forces simultaneously. A head stud should be installed in a "relaxed" mode -- never crank it in tightly using a jammed nut. If everything is right, the stud should be installed finger tight. Then, when applying torque to the nut, the stud will stretch only on the vertical axis. An information sheet is provided with each set. Kit includes everything pictured -- 14 head bolts, washers, bolts and assembly lubricant.

Anyone with a modified S55 knows the risks involved with the OEM Crank Hub. When the engine simply can't handle the stresses its put under or the design is such that it simply does not support extreme conditions, issues can arise. Under certain conditions, the S55 crank hub likes to spin, without warning and even when the engine is in perfect health. MMR has produced a T-6061 machined billet aluminum capture plate anodized in their trademark finish. The MMR Performance capture plate secures the head of the OE crank bolt and prevents it from turning or being able to loosen. This capture plate can be secured to the OEM crank bolt or to MMR's redesigned one-piece crank hub. *Installation recommended by a professional shop or technician.

This replacement cylinder head for BMW S52 S50 M52 6 cylinder engine comes completely assembled with new valves, valve springs, valve guides, valve seals and studs. Being assembled this cylinder head makes for a much quicker and easier job of installation. The camshaft is not included but is available separately.

This cylinder head is manufactured in Spain by Amadeo Marti Carbonell, a company that meets or exceeds the ISO 4000, ISO 9000 and TS-16949 standards so you can be assured of a quality part.
