Factory Pre-set Damping 

The Variant 1 is KW's basic simple and effective coil over kit that is still packed with lots of features -

This is the ideal coil over kit for a F10 5-series owner who does not plan on tracking or autocrossing the car and just wants a lower, more aggressive stance and better handling. KW has set the shock damping rates to be an excellent balance for a smooth yet taut ride, and to resist bodyroll motions for better handling. The Variant 1 differs from the Street Comfort set in that it has stiffer springs and revised shock settings. If you want a sportier ride and better handling than stock the Variant 1 is an excellent choice. 

Coil over suspensions are better engineered suspension options compared to a standard shock + spring package. Since the springs and shocks in a coil over are designed by a team of engineers to work together, there is much better suspension travel and more precisely tuned specifications for spring and shock rates. Using separate shock and spring specs may result in premature coil bind or shock bottoming. And most coil over kits offer more features than the traditional packages. Coil overs are also more useful when larger wheels/tires are used because you can precisely set the ride heights to clear the new tires. 

Fitment Note: Wheel spacers may be required depending on wheel/tire sizing and ride height setting.

The KW Variant 2 gives shock rebound control to give you more options in fine-tuning the handling of the car. The V2 includes the same features of the V1 kit, including -

• Adjustable Rebound with fixed compression settings - optimal ride comfort then dial in more grip and a better balance with less bodyroll than the standard suspension,
• Stainless steel strut/shock bodies and composite spring perches for superior corrossion resistance,
• Individually height-adjustable - Front = 25-55mm lowering; Rear = 20-50mm lowering,
• TUV approved lowering range and operation,
• Expert engineering and design for ease-of-use and long durability,

This kit is an excellent compromise between a fully-adjustable V3 suspension and the basic V1 street kit. It's great for someone who does not want to make complicated and time-consuming shock adjustments. Just dial in the rebound for more grip and less body motions. Set it back for a compliant street ride.

• Whether you track the car often or only use it for backroad carving the V3 will give you the tools to set up an ideal handling condition. You can crank it up for smooth and fast surfaces or soften it for city or rough roads. Since each shock is 2-way adjustable you can alter the front-rear balance to account for brake dive or squat during power application coming out of the corner. You are in total control!

Fine-tuning your coilover damping shouldn’t mean stripping out your rear seats or interior panels. On many applications, rear shock adjusters are hidden behind carpet, trim, or seatbacks, making quick adjustments a hassle.

The ECS Rear Damping Extension Kit solves that problem with a clean and functional solution. These flexible extensions relocate the adjustment knobs to an easily accessible point above the rear shock towers, letting you dial in your suspension from inside the cabin, no disassembly required.

Installation is straightforward: simply drill a small access hole in your interior trim and route the extension cables through. The adjustment knobs can be removed to allow the line to pass through smaller openings, minimizing cutting. For proper installation, be sure to fully loosen the set screw, insert the cable, then securely tighten it using the provided Allen key.

These upper A-arms are an adjustable version of the stock upper control arms. They feature an adjustable outer ball joint that changes the camber spec. These are great for dialing in up to half a degree of camber quickly and easily. An alignment pin conveniently sets it in the stock location. The inner bushing is a heavier-duty version of the stock rubber design. The stiffer rubber means less flex and deflection which helps in steering response and handling. Adjusting camber can help with handling and steering response. Adding negative camber is useful in spirited driving on secondary roads and even on/off ramps and can help with tire-fender clearance. This is a direct replacement for the original arm.

This upper shock tower bearing/ strut mount is located at the top of the shock. We recommend inspecting or replacing these while replacing the front shocks.
