As far back as the E30, the front bumper is much lower than the rear bumper and the E36 M3 faces the same issue. With this problem the front bumper is always super low to the ground and the rear bumper looks in-complete. Research and development:
We feel it is crucial to share our journey into the design and engineering that went into developing this remarkable carbon spoiler. The development of this LTW spoiler was not a quick process; it spanned over three years. Throughout this time, we dedicated ourselves to refining, testing, and making adjustments to craft a spoiler that we're thrilled to introduce to the community.
From perfecting the form and fitment to ensuring the spoilers's stability, every aspect of this project presented significant challenges. This carbon spoiler is comprised of 5 components, the base spoiler, 70mm risers, upper spoiler, gurney flap, and most importantly the mounting brackets.
Anyone familiar with carbon fiber knows the difficulty of working with these nearly 50-inch wide pieces to achieve straightness without flex while maintaining a consistent carbon weave pattern. During the initial stages of carbon testing, the manufacturing process proved to be nothing short of impossible. Issues such as carbon fiber twisting during curing, waviness in the exterior appearance, and mismatched carbon weave posed significant hurdles.
Furthermore, ensuring precise fitment was paramount. Not only did the spoiler components need to seamlessly integrate with the trunk gaps, but they also had to clear adjacent body portions without error. We underwent rigorous testing, cycling through five sets of carbon spoiler prototypes before achieving a result that met our exact standards.
Numerous adjustments were made throughout the project, including modifications to the carbon composition, bracketry, and the incorporation of gaskets between carbon layers. Our passion and dedication were poured into every aspect of this product.
Throughout the project timeline, we conducted extensive long-term testing on various vehicles, subjecting the spoiler to speeds beyond what can be publicly disclosed. When we say these spoilers are secure, we mean it. Utilizing both 3M double-sided tape and four billet brackets with a total of eight fasteners, this spoiler can be confidently installed. The billet mounting brackets are designed to fasten over the top of the factory seam sealer on the underside of the trunk for maximum stability. Near the end of testing, we decided to add an adhesive-backed gasket to the underside of the base, providing yet another layer of paint protection.
Styling:
The greatest part we have enjoyed over this project is the versatile style of the spoiler as designed. If you have read this far into our development process we can say strongly that you are a car enthusiast, well so are we. As car enthusiasts we can never leave the car alone, changing setups and most importantly styling. With the multi-piece design, the option to change up your look is just moments away with a little help from some hand tools.
Initially, we were fully committed to running the complete setup: full height, 70mm risers, and gurney flap – all inspired by the LTW look with a modern carbon twist. However, as we spent more time with the spoiler, our perspective shifted. We decided to remove the 70mm risers and suddenly rediscovered our love for the E36's original aesthetic. Without the risers, the spoiler took on a new, understated elegance, blending seamlessly with the car's overall design.
Time passed, and we began to explore other options. Removing the gurney flap toned down the race car vibe, revealing yet another layer of the spoiler's versatility. Each subtle alteration brought about a significant change in style, proving that even the smallest adjustments could make a world of difference.
Our journey with the spoiler was one of constant evolution; from full-on LTW racing aesthetics to more understated styling and back again. This flexibility was the true beauty of our creation, keeping us engaged and dedicated throughout the rigorous development process.
What is an E36 M3 LTW?
In 1995, North America received a special gift: 126 production units of the E36 M3 Lightweight, also known as the "LTW." This limited-production, track-focused E36 was equipped with a range of features, including lightweight body panels, a stiffer suspension, upgraded brakes, and, notably, a distinctive style that served as functional aerodynamic enhancements.
Among its various enhancements, the exterior held the most distinctive features. Available exclusively in Alpinaweiss paint paired with an M-colored checkered flag, this car featured an adjustable front splitter and an optional high-rise spoiler. These elements not only contributed to its iconic appearance but also solidified its place in history as one of the most iconic-looking E36s to ever hit the market.
The LTW entered the states as a "spec" car; bare-bones, lightweight, and ready to hit the track straight out of the box. Alongside the track-focused vehicle came optional components separately packaged in the trunk. These included a front strut brace, chassis x-brace, deeper oil pan with a dual pick-up pump, and, last but not least, the GT rear spoiler (let's face it, it's an LTW spoiler). Interestingly, these components actually voided the warranty because they lacked DOT approval (maybe not the coolest aspect).
Overall, this package represented the epitome of coolness at the time, perhaps even among the coolest offerings directly from the manufacturer, ever.
How can Turner give you the LTW experience?
Over the years we have subconsciously engineered a full LTW package with our own spin on it to make your own LTW-esque E36. Among the upgrades, we have made an adjustable splitter kit packed with LTW styling(T#1871611), billet x-brace(T#4056343), street/track adjustable rear camber arms(T#304099), upgraded sway bars(T#359704), tubular race control arms(T#4524483), and many more suspension, engine, and exterior enhancements. The full suite of performance and aesthetic parts were not made in conjunction with one another; rather, it emerged from our enthusiast-driven desire to capture the track-focused essence of the LTW and apply it to our own E36s.

In 2023 our team at Turner can proudly say we are still fixated on the E36 chassis, our group of engineers and technicians own a multitude of E36 chassis including an early model vert, 95 M3 and Z3m(still counts!). To pay tribute to this chassis we spent a great deal of time to ensure we crafted THE best intake possible for the beloved chassis. Urethane mounts keep the differential from twisting under load. As torque is put through the driveline it causes anything to twist and move. The differential is mounted to the subframe and the twisting and deflection can be transferred to the rest of the chassis. With a stiffer mount the differential will not deflect as much. This improves seat-of-the-pants feeling to the driver, giving more feedback for smoother power delivery. In theory, there's also more torque being sent to the drive wheels since it's not being used up shifting the diff weight around.
These are tough 88A durometer urethane bushings with a anodized almunum center sleeve, engineered by ECS. This is a set of E36 diff bushings - 1 for the front and 2 for the rear cover. New high-grade hardware is included (the front bolt has a tendency to snap from all that torque twisting!).

Mishimoto E36 Aluminum Radiator features -
Mishimoto radiators address all of the defects of the stock E36 radiator in a well-engineered and price-competitive direct replacement unit. The Mishimoto radiator is an all aluminum design that replaces the factory plastic and aluminum stock radiator. The stock plastic end tanks are notorious for cracking and leaks whereas the Mishimoto has aluminum end tanks that will never fail. Mishimoto can also build 30% more coolant capacity into the a radiator that fits in the original location with no modifications. More coolant volume means the fluid is not heat soaked for as long (less super heated fluid circulating through the engine). For a direct replacement performance radiator, the Mishimoto is hard to beat!

Bilstein has teamed up with Eibach to offer matched shock and spring packages. These Eibach springs are mated to a special set of Bilstein shocks to deliver a sporty and taut ride with as little impact on ride comfort as possible.
The Pro Kit uses an Eibach Pro Kit spring with Bilstein's Sport shocks and struts. Instead of taking parts from different manufacturers, Bilstein has tested the performance of the Eibach spring and tailored their shocks to be a true match for the new spring rate and ride height. This is known as a matched shock and spring and very few tuning companies take these extra steps. Eibach springs tend to be softer overall than most other aftermarket springs, which ensures the ride stays close to a stock comfort while still giving you a lowered stance and improved handling.
Bilstein B12 Features:
Most cars don't need coil overs to improve their handling and bodyroll. For most drivers, simply replacing the shocks and springs with performance versions will meet their goals. This braided stainless steel line replaces the stock hydraulic hose connecting your clutch slave cylinder to the clutch master cylinder. There are several deficiences with rubber, especially as it ages - when new the rubber expands and swells under pressure and the pedal can feel spongy. As rubber ages and is exposed to extreme temperatures the rubber can harden and even shrink (common on brake hoses), which results in a stiff pedal. Rubber clutch lines do not stand up to the stresses of hard use. ECS Exact-Fit stainless reinforced clutch lines provide more confident and dependable shifting by maintaining consistent line pressure, long lasting corrosion resistance, and increased protection from failure. These lines are reinforced with braided stainless steel mesh, affording superior expansion resistance. This resistance to expansion creates a firmer pedal, and a more direct clutch pedal feel. The signature red polymer coating provides additional protection from the elements and abrasion.

For the US E36 M3. Schrick 264/256 degree camshafts boost mid-high end power for that extra motivation at higher rpm. Low-end torque is not seriously affected due to the M50/M52s VAN0S System. And, higher profile cams work extremely well with an upgraded intake and exhaust. When upgrading the cams there are other areas you must take into consideration. Higher-flow fuel injectors, larger mass-air sensor, and custom programming are strongly recommended. Turner Motorsport sells complete intake & cam packages that boost power to over 290hp. BMW enthusiasts seeking to elevate the performance of their M52 & S52 engines can now explore an enticing solution with this product. While these engines represent improvements over the M50 and S50, they come equipped with an intake manifold featuring smaller runners, designed to maximize low-end torque but at the expense of high-RPM horsepower.
Many enthusiasts opt for the widely adopted modification of replacing the restrictive OBDII manifold with the OBDI M50 manifold. However, it's crucial to note that mishandling this modification can result in vacuum leaks and trigger the check engine light.
This all-inclusive kit presents an effortless way to install the M50 manifold on an M52/S52 engine while preserving essential OBDII functions, including the factory cyclone-style oil separator. The kit includes a meticulously crafted CNC-machined adapter, accompanied by all the required hardware and gaskets, ensuring a seamless installation process. Notably, this modification is entirely reversible if you opt to revert to your stock manifold. For a complete installation, consider the availability of the modified fuel rail cover (ES3028165).
Kindly be aware that, depending on the application, certain modifications to the ICV breather tube may be necessary.
These adjustable rear links are only required when using sway bar / swaybars with a suspension with a very low ride height, where it may be necessary to adjust the length of the end links for proper sway bar clearance from the drive axles or other suspension components. These suspensions are usually found only on race cars but this may also apply to street cars with sport springs/sport coil overs that are lowered a lot. On most street cars lowered 1.5" or less, the stock links will be fine.
These end links feature a Heim joint, which allows enough lateral movement when disconnected to adjust the length of the link without removing the entire link from the car. This is particularly helpful when eliminating or adjusting preload while tuning the suspension. Similar links without this joint, can't be adjusted without totally removing the link from the car.
Built-in grease fittings allow for occasional lube, and a packet of grease is included. These links are sold as a set, and include two end links and hardware for H&R and TMS sway bars (other brands may not need the hardware).
At their shortest setting they are 2.875" hole to hole and on their longest setting they are 3.5" hole to hole.
*Note: these links will not work with factory or non-adjustable Eibach sway bars.

Stock mounts are made from soft rubber and are sometimes filled with fluid to give a car the most comfortable ride possible. The soft rubber and fluid helps to reduce the total amount of vibration, noise, and harshness (NVH) that is transferred into the cabin. The problem with this is driveline slop. The stock mounts allow a lot of excess movement and increases the amount of time it takes to transfer power to the wheels.
In order to address this issue, performance mounts can be substituted to reduce the amount of slop and transfer power to the wheel quicker. Two options for this are polyurethane mounts and solid mounts.
Solid mounts are great for an immediate transfer of power but allow for a ton of noise and vibration to be felt and heard in the cabin of the vehicle. This is great for the track where there aren't any issues with excess harshness, but as a daily driver, this can become an annoying pain in the neck.
The best middle ground is Polyurethane. Polyurethane is much stiffer than rubber and gives you the much stiffer feel you may be looking for. This allows for the increase in responsiveness, but isn't so extreme that it transfers all of the sound and vibrations into the cabin. This makes it much more comfortable for daily use while still reinforcing your driveline.

BR Series coilovers are the most popular and versatile option offered by BC racing, offering features such as 30-level dampening adjustment (simultaneous compression and rebound control), linear springs where possible, and a minimum of 2 inches ride height drop. To ensure performance, comfort, and quality, all BR Series kits are Dyno tested during the design stage to determine the best valving and spring rates, then installed and tested for a minimum of 6 months. This kit features mounts and brackets that are fully compatible with all stock mounting points and components.
The upper shock/strut mounts are all constructed of 6061-T6 Aluminum for strength and weight savings. BC Racing design 1 of 3 types of upper mounts for each vehicle: Caster/Camber Plates (+/- 3* camber), Camber Plates (+/- 3* camber), and Rubber Mount Plates (NVH reduction). The included mount option for this kit is shown in the kit specs and features below.
Lower shock mounts are powder coated for corrosion protection and constructed of either 6061-T6 aluminum that has been milled from a single piece (fork or bolt eye mount) or of STKM13C steel with all brackets welded robotically.
The included springs come in one of 3 styles: linear, S-barrel, and V-barrel. Linear springs are used in most applications unless limited by the OE design that does not allow the use of linear springs. All spring options are made from SAE9254 steel and have a zinc coating applied under the powder coating for increased spring corrosion protection and long term reliability.
All shock bodies used in the BR Series coilovers use a 53mm shock body (unless noted otherwise) for added strength, performance, and increased fluid capacity. All shocks are then powder coated black chrome for clean styling and corrosion protection.

Our sealed Monoball Rear Trailing Arm Bushings (RTAB) are the best solution for completely eliminating deflection and unwanted toe changes on the rear of the E36, E46, and Z4. While rubber and urethane bushings flex during load, the toe can change widely giving you nervous and unpredictable handling. These RTABs have a solid aluminum housing with a high-quality sealed OE bearing. These bushings were developed from years of competition use in various racing and HPDE events. There is simply no better RTAB unless your racing class rules prohibit the use of mono or spherical bearings.
The rear trailing arm bushings take a lot of abuse from acclerating, braking and cornering. The stock rubber bushings are just not up to the task of keeping rear wheel alignment in spec for very long, especially if you have upgraded to stickier tires and a better suspension. The pliable rubber flexes and twists which slows down reaction time and leaves you with a car that feels nervous and 'tail happy'. Urethane helps to control the alignment but issues with fitment, maintenance, and longevity keep us from recommending urethane on anything but a street car. We also offer a Delrin RTAB for cars that must conform to certain racing class rules. These sealed spherical bearings are the best at controlling rear toe alignment.
Our aluminum RTABs are very well made - high grade aluminum alloy and steel CNC'd out of a billet by an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer, each component is either hardcoated or nickel plated. While multiple manufacturers offer two piece designs, our research showed that a one piece bushing is a better design featuring a sealed bearing to keep contaminants out extending the life of the bearing.
