NEW, updated design allows for more applications! The TMS Oil Cooler Fitting kit allows much more flexibility in the routing of oil cooler lines. Standard oil coolers utilize hard lines which can cause fitment issues for cars with superchargers, Accusumps, or other aftermarket performance parts. Our kit replaces the oil cooler hard lines with two TMS engineered -10 AN fittings, mounting bracket, and O-rings. Flexible braided hoses can then be run to the oil cooler which eliminates routing issues from supercharges, intakes, and other components. The brackets are CNC machined stainless steel and the -10 AN fittings are lightweight aluminum.
CSF is one of the premier cooling product specialists available on the market today. One item that is often overlooked is the oil cooler. Luckily CSF has taken up the task of upgrading the oil cooler as well. If the oil runs too hot, it can lead to a reduction in wear protection and damage to the head, block, or the turbo system. This unit has 17 cooling tubes in the front with anther 6 in the rear of the cooler and still fits in the stock location without any issues.
Fits the following BMW:
2001-2006 E46 BMW M3
Rally Road Productions, Inc. is a team supported by a group of people with great abilities in their area of expertise. From the "web guy" and driving instructor friends, to owners of various machine shops, they have surrounded ourselves with people that can be trusted to create and manufacture quality products. This is the key to ensuring everything that they sell will perform as it was intended. The goal is to increase customer satisfaction and make the customization or performance enhancement of your vehicle a more enjoyable venture.
This oil cooler system is race tested and proven to outflow the euro M3 oil filter housing. Additionally, this particular system uses a sealing mechanism to direct the oil flow through the cooler lines and then through the oil filter. Other cooler caps do not provide this seal and therefore the external oil coolers and lines act as a "balloon". The lines and cooler are pressurized, but oil does not flow through them. Flowing oil means it is being cooled and not just acting as an external reservoir.
Flow testing reveals that the oil cooler cap will outflow the Euro M3 Oil Filter Housing by more than 80% at the same, pressure, RPM, and oil temperature. In the upper RPM range, there is nearly a 100% improvement in flow from the RallyRoad oil cooler cap when compared to the Euro M3 oil filter housing. This is a massive improvement over OE and is a worthwhile upgrade, especially in engines that see severe duty.
